Privacy

What this site collects, what it does with it, and how to reach me about your data. Written in plain English and German, following the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

The person responsible for processing personal data on this site under Art. 4 (7) GDPR is:

Guido David Molina Cardona
Nikolaus-Groß-Straße 1, 47829 Krefeld, Germany
E-mail: mail@guidomolina.com

What this site collects

This site has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, and no sign-up forms. The only personal data processed through normal visits comes from the technical access logs that any web server maintains, kept by the hosting provider.

If you send an e-mail to the address on the Contact section, that message and your e-mail address become data I hold until the conversation ends and a reasonable retention period passes.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Strato AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany, on servers located in Germany. Strato automatically keeps standard server log files for a short period as part of operating the service: visiting IP address, date and time of the request, the URL requested, the HTTP status, the referring URL, and the browser and operating system of the visitor. These logs are used only for operation, security and troubleshooting of the server. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — the legitimate interest in running a stable and secure website. Strato’s own privacy information is available at strato.de/datenschutz.

E-mail contact

When you e-mail me, the message and the data in it (your name if given, your e-mail address, anything in the body) are processed solely to answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract) when the enquiry concerns a workshop or collaboration, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering correspondence) in all other cases. I keep the message as long as the exchange is ongoing and, where relevant, for the period that German tax and commercial law requires. You can ask for your correspondence to be deleted at any time.

External content

Vimeo videos. The videos on the site (Showreel on The Craft, Hope and Golpes en el alma on the Start page, the BuT final show on The Path) are embedded from Vimeo. To make sure no Vimeo cookies or scripts load until you actually choose to watch, each video first appears as a dark card with a play button. Only when you click the card does the Vimeo player load, at which point Vimeo sets its own cookies and receives your IP address as part of the request. Vimeo’s own privacy information is available at vimeo.com/privacy.

YouTube videos. The Dunkel entry on the Start page does not auto-load any YouTube script, cookie or player when you open the page. The video appears as a thumbnail; only if you click it does your browser leave this site and open the video on YouTube itself, at which point YouTube’s own privacy terms apply. See policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Fonts. The site uses two typefaces (Playfair Display and Inter) delivered by Google Fonts. When your browser loads a page, it requests the font files from Google’s servers, which briefly receives your IP address as part of that request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — the legitimate interest in rendering the site in its intended typography. See Google’s information at developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy.

No cookies set by this site. Beyond the third-party content listed above, this site does not set any cookies of its own. The language preference (EN or DE) is stored in your browser’s local storage so your choice persists on return visits; this is a functional preference, not tracking, and is not shared with anyone.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the data I hold about you (Art. 15), to have it corrected (Art. 16), erased (Art. 17), restricted (Art. 18), or ported (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). To exercise any of these, write to mail@guidomolina.com. If you believe your data is being handled unlawfully, you also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — for North Rhine‑Westphalia, that is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit NRW, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.

Changes to this notice

This privacy notice reflects the state of the site at the time of its last revision. If I add new features that process personal data differently — a contact form, a newsletter, analytics — this notice will be updated before those features go live.
